Hi Andrew,

Are there any holes to aid convection cooling? I noticed a TJM version (I think) that looked like it had cooling fins instead of an enclosed box. I presume someone must think this thing gets real hot?

There are drainage holes along the bottom which can allow air to flow up and around the transfer case. With low range engaged, the speed of the car would be reasonably slow, so there won't be much forced air cooling in that circumstance. So I think a box would still be ok. More holes could be added to the sides near the front but not where the plastic actuator is.

On the other hand, some brands don't even have vents at the front bashplate to get airflow around the front diff.

I think you are the 2nd PP member to ask. Happy to have a look if there were others interested? The person with the 150 that I measured up has now sold it and got a 90 series instead. So I'll have a donor 90 series to measure up. He may be the 3rd person.

Very good information. I think you should open a new thread "Bash plate for 90s 95s", then members will come into that thread to book. I'm sure you can have more than 3 in waiting list after opening the thread.

Also a 150 bash plate thread and calling for volunteers with KDSS ie VX and Kakadu in Adelaide area to let you measure up and design Im sure there are a few of us interested in your product.

Rightio, 90 series thread started.
I have some issue with the bullbar recall that was done in Sydney which my local dealer in Adelaide will hopefully fix. Maybe if I can negotiate with them to drive 1 of the 2 used Kakadus in the lot home for half a day for measuring and to fit the existing 150 prototype..... (just thinking out loud)
