Off to tend to your garden beds tomorrow mate. Oh, need something to cover the rubbish in the trailer. Those plates will do

          • Shenanigans aside, I am now happy with the prototype and will be confirming order numbers with the fabricator on Monday. I hope to get an ETA then as well. Previous communications indicated approx 4 weeks.

Thank you to all those who have emailed me with your order confirmation. I will be sending out the payment details shortly.

To those that have not emailed me, please read the 1st post which will have the details. Emailing will be much easier than PP's PM system.

Regarding shipping, please take a look at the e-go website for the depot locations to see if there is one near you.

I have been investigating packaging options and I don't feel comfortable shipping the plates without a box. If the couriers drop it on the corner, it will likely bend. Packaging material charges will be around $15 (custom box, bubble/cell-air foam wrap and 40mm foam at strategic locations). All shipping and packaging charges will be at cost and therefore the estimates quoted on the first post is indicative and may change. I hope that this is agreeable to those interstate.

There will be a custom carton prototype done to check suitability.

MLC, your plates are now back (as of Friday) at the fabricators to put on the finishing touches. It might be a bit tight to meet your schedule for your trip next weekend but I'll do my best.

            • amts,

I hear the fabricators have now gone on holidays for a week.

MLC may miss out but I have patience !!

You say they will be ready monday week?

Unless they can be ready by Thursday night there is no need to rush. I actually don't have anywhere to fit them with Matty away.

I appreciate your efforts Andy. Its a shame about that poor Nickchap losing his car next week. Hope he finds it around the same time I get my bash plates.

                        • Hey andrew, quick though due to the weight difference between the stock metal sheets and your bash plates was there any height reduction on the front (bottom rim to bottom of the guard measurement)?

                          Comment

                          • Hi pjorek,
Given my estimated weight of the AMTS bashplates at 25kg, 600lb/in spring and assuming that the factory bashplates weigh nothing, the theoretical drop in height is 1.16mm. So fairly minimal in real life.

                            • As of today, the order is in to the fabricators. I have ordered a few extras. So email me (details in the first post) if you would still like one. First come first serve.
                              ETA is 4 weeks.

is mine 4 weeks? (please visualise the small tears about to run down my face and quivering lip. I am holding my "toughen up princess bear" very tightly too)
