    Hi RealPrado
    You could try MLC's approach - pester,pester,pester & pester!
The squeaky wheel got the oil on that occasion.
Mate its like buying anything online the waiting is painful, it will not happen overnight but it will happen!
    Cheers

    • Give the guy a break, hes done all he can to offer us all a great product of his own blood sweat and tears design for nothing more than the satisfaction of helping a bunch of fellow PP'rs to get hold of a top notch product at a bargain price.
To get stuff manufactured in Oz, especially in relatively small quantities at reasonable prices is a nightmare and AMTS should be applauded for how far he has got and the trouble he has gone too.
Frustrating, well maybe sometimes it is but thats life.
Chill out, hes doing the best that can be done

Wow easy on big fella, he can hardly be blamed for equipment faults at someone else's business.
Although I do agree they should be allocated on first come from the original list back when they started.

Everything takes time mate, this is not his day job!

I suspect a please and less attitude may aid in getting a response about a potential the delivery date also... ?
There is a batch in the process of being made. So chillout and wait like everyone else is!

          • Once again, I'm sorry Cam, for what has been going on that is out of my control. I understand your concern and frustration. I've done my best liasing with the fabricators and they have come to a middle ground by offering a first set of up to 6 sets to keep me happy.

I've missed quite a few PP member's deadlines already and felt that I should open up the urgent list again for the next lot of people who are going on upcoming trips who would need it. So I am prioritizing it this way for the first lot of up to 6 sets. This was how the urgent list was made at the beginning. There was no list order. I was going to post out first to those who require them urgently. Then work my way through the list and post off by state and courier company. And not every state uses the same courier company which adds complexity to the logistics.

And there is always the expensive Brown Davis plate if you're *that* desperate. Don't like waiting = buy something else at a dearer price.

Now - AMTS - when are you starting the list for the Kaymar Bar

C'mon RealPrado be grateful for what amts's doing for us!!! It's not like he's selling some off-the-shelf crap for a lesser prize. It's hard to put dead lines for manufacturing, specially when you are depending on someone else.
I'm happy to wait couple of more weeks if you want to help these cry babies Andrew !!!

                    • Well that's one way to start some controversy. I think a lot of you have taken my comment the wrong way. Perhaps those people that replied so quickly should re-assess their need to retaliate to an opinion so quickly and appreciate that everyone is entitled to their own! I was putting my opinion forward that order for delivery should be based on original order - as everyone has their "reasons" for requiring something urgently.

And a lot would agree that the run around that the fabricator is giving is getting a bit ridiculous!

I in no way am aiming this at AMTS, as I think he has developed what looks like a fantastically engineered product and all in his own time. Obviously he is a very skilled person and very generous, and I appreciated every bit of this. The manufacturer on the other hand does seem to have a large swag of issues that delay production.

I do however question the benefit of pestering as some have done, and do not agree with this method. I still believe that order should be based on those that ordered first, this is far more equitable.

                      Regards

I must admit that I didn't read your post the same as others so found the following posts a little confusing.

All banter aside, as the only recipient on the test version 2, I hope you are not insinuating I jumped any queue. I have not taken that way until your last post. I have indeed relentlessly pestered (all in good fun) amts as he does to me, but if you or anyone thinks I have jumped any real or perceived queue, then your wrong. This is NOT the first thread on this topic of amts plates. Its origin was my post, I was listed in the first batch etc etc. Anyway, I support the fact that the confirmed first batch has a priority unless people within it are happy to wait, so aside from any perception on my part it is irrelevant as I am singing from your hymn book.

                        Finally
                        1. God bless you amts, they plates are indeed a great product that is priced well below any retail product of equal quality. No matter what small amount you get outr of these plates it is NOT enough for the efforts you have made. I and we ALL appreciate this!
                        2. May a thousand camel fleas infest the groin of the fabricator and may he only get relief when making the plates, and
                        3. RealPrado I hope you and other members get your plates soon (despite my banter with people on this thread that I know personally and through months on this forum. I reiterate I read your post as it was intended, BUT the ones that "retaliated so quickly" are regular users and valuable contributers. The fundamental problem with any email or thread write up is the difficulty in understanding the tone and intent. I feel that if I had read your post like the others I would have done exactly the same.

                        All good.

                          • thank you amts and let me know when the "heavies" need to be sent to the fabricators to sort them out

                            • This whole thing was started by MLC asking for pics, then switched got prices for a bulk buy on the BD plates. Then I opened my big mouth to get something done for PP members at a reduced price. Because of this, I was gathering an expression of interest to see just how viable this is going to be so that the pricing can be structured according to the numbers interested. This first list (which began looking something like this http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post279368) was blown away when the 2nd list was started when the final price was confirmed, to get a confirmation from those on the original list. A snippit of the 2nd list can be found here
                              http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post297583

This 2nd list has since been blown away as it was getting too hard maintaining my own list off line and the list here on PP. So I now have a 3rd list which is now pretty much in the order of date of payment of the deposit. As stated before, had the fabricators been able to deliver everything on time, I will be posting off to those who have indicated that it was urgent. I am collecting the plates from the fabricators in batches and posting them off in batches. This is because I can't fit them all in my car at once. So regardless of whether the fabricators finish them off all at once or 6 now and the rest later, I would still be sending off the plates to urgent orders first. My logical brain tells me that I should send off plates to those who will be using it in anger first.

I'm just trying to keep everyone relatively happy and hoping that there is some compromise from all involved. If there is another fabricator that is willing to take the job, I would go for it, but as explained eariler, these guys are no small backyard operators. They use the same CAD software I do which means that I don't have to produce drawings. Which means that I save time not having to do CAD drawings and they don't have to spend time translating a 2D drawing into a flat pattern.

As far as MLC is concerned, he's just trying to keep us all entertained while the rest of us watch the progress of the development of these bashplates. PP is a place to have a bit of fun. Otherwise, it will be a bit boring. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), this thread has taken the brunt of MLC's humour

EDIT: Oops, took too long to reply.

Cam, I look forward to meeting you on the day you come and pick up your bashplates. I did read your post and interpreted it both ways and tried to reply in the most neutral way possible.
