Dear PP members,
I saw this thread this morning, sent an email to "Brains", and I had a reply shorly after, then drove to their house in a northern brisbane suburb and in no time they had fitted my 150 Prado with their transfer case/actuator guard..no problem, no fuss, and better service than I have ever had from a dealer, seriously. If you have a Prado, and if you are serious about protecting your exposed transfercase & actuator, just get one of the professionally made protection plates. No modifications necessary, just remove the old flimsy small tin shield and replace with a strong, professionally built powder coasted steel protection plate. In fact Paul got under the Prado and installed it for me while I was there. Thanks Paul. Highly recommended. Essential if you really want to protect your Prado. Well done. Good work. Excellent value.Last edited by brogers; 31-03-2012, 05:55 PM.SE Qld: GX 150GD Auto, (Feb'16 build): TJM T15 steel b bar, 9,500lb TORQ winch, TJM s steps, Rhino Pioneer Platform (42102B 1928X1236mm), front recovery points, Wynnum towbar, P3 brake controller, TNN Underbody guards, UHF, TREKtable & LED striplight, Custom Fridge & Drawers, Waeco CFX50, 9inch illuminator 160W LED spots, 40mm lifted Dobinson Suspension (Zordo's), ScanguageII, 30 Sec Wing Awning

Michael and I fitted ours to our VX and Kakadu 150's today and were very impressed, went on with little fuss. Thanks Paul for dropping these off, this is one great bit of 'essential kit' for your Prado. Well worth the money!
Now you just need to make me a bash plate to suit the 150 KDSS equipped models to fit between the TJM bar guard and TJM sump and trans guard.
Thanks again. Daniel-----------------------

Mine arrived today (Glenn's did too). Fitted no worries. Maybe because mines a manual ? I needed to leave the stock guard in place to make up for a few little gaps with the new guard fitted.. Nothing to worry about, now i have twice the protection !!!
Excellent product boys !! Great idea.. goes straight to the poolroom, along with my washer jets discovery years ago I say

Following our trip to Ormeau last weekend and seeing how close a 150 came to damaging his transfer case on a boulder, I managed to present my business case to SWMBO who once was made aware that the alternative to installing one of these was the potential for a $2000 + repair bill, immediately provided authority to proceed on the expenditure! I hurriedly contacted Brains who had 1 guard remaining. Talk about "just in time"! Picked the guard (TG150 for the Grande as it has Traction Control) this morning and installed tonight
Thanks Pauls!2004 V6 Grande. BLACK -
