  • 2010 150 GXL Expressions of Interest!

To post... or not to post!

Expressions of interest in my 150 Prado. Details in signature below. However, i need to be convinced to part with this one! Running it up the flag pole just in case tho. We have a small caravan we are towing occasionally, but its on the cards to get the biggie that will exceed the Prado's towing capacity. Nothing set in stone, but if there is some interest...i might be able to have my arm twisted.

    61000km Auto Diesel.

Close to $58K will get some interest from me...

2010 D4D GXL auto.: 275/65/17 BFG's /ARB Colour Coded Deluxe Bar / IPF fogs / IPF XD Driving lights / OME Suspension / ARB Towbar / Electric Brake Controller/ Safari Snorkel / "Clark Rubber" Mudflap extensions / GME UHF with town and country antennas / RMW Seat covers & Dash Mat / Full window tint/ ARB~Outback Modular Drawers and Fridge Slider/Cargo Barrier/ ARB Dual Battery Installation with rear outlets/HD Rhino Roof Racks..

I gotta say tho..... went to have a look at the "upgrade"... a 200 series GXL. Very disappointed. for $85K you get a PLASTIC steering wheel, NONE of the fruit you get on a 2 year old Prado... like folding mirrors, phone controls on wheel, roof rails... etc etc. And then for $95K you get a $2K leather job and a cool box similar to a waeco "armrest"fridge.. , some useless fog lights and thats about IT! Seems its also almost impossible to fit an aux battery to run a fridge... and THEN i would have to spend a fortune on ARB upgrades. Hmmmmmm.... i think i might just re-think the new caravan instead.... and besides...i kinda LIKE the Prado...! Stand by for "withdrawing from sale"!

                  Hey Masso

I'm looking at doing the same the 2.5tonne tow limit is a bugger, I have looked around have a gander at Lotus Sprint and Retreat vans right on 2.5t and well built, I also looked at the GX Cruiser and then adding the fruit almost a proposition and has barn doors which I like better.

                  Regards, Richard.

I had a look this week at the 200 series and as well was disappointed....such a big car yet didn't seem much bigger inside console was just wider. Then I also found a site called 200 series lemon and the amount of problems with them and especially the D4D worried me? One owner had 3 prado's then the 200 and hated it and the problems he has had compared to 3 good prados no problems.
2010 Kakadu with all the usual stuff.... Build up thread below

Hey Richo... we must be bumping into each other at the same spots! Also been looking at a Lotus sprint Van...! and went for a drive in the GX Cruiser...sure needs some fruit tho... bit like a peach tree in winter off the showroom floor. I would have to sneak it straight to ARB for fruiting tho.. as i can imagine rolling home in that straight from the dealer...... and the missus saying... "you sold the prado and now come home in THIS??????" ... hmmmmmmm

That is bad. All the more reason to never get the first of a new model.
