ARB/TJM air compressor & fuel filter bracket for 120/150

I've just had a closer look and the compressor bracket will need a large chunk cutting out of it to fit The big question is, having modified it, will there still be room for the actual compressor to fit. I need to do some measuring to see if it will fit before I start cutting.

If anyone in Perth wants a bracket then I might be interested in selling it rather than modifying it.

Best that it gets to someone else unmutilated. I have 1 pending payment clearance so will coordinate that and issue a refund.

As per our email correspondence, it appears that Trekrider has found a snag with brackets. The charcoal canister on my 2003 Grande is different to his 2006 GXL. Rummaging through toyodiy, there appears to be 2 part numbers listed for the charcoal canister and its bracket from 2005 onwards. But only 1 part number listed for 2003 and 2004 120s. I have emailed those with a V6 and those who did not state whether they have a V6 or a diesel to check the size of the charcoal canister.

The larger canister is fitted from 2005 onwards and uses one of the side holes on the guard. This larger canister is not compatible with the ARB compressor bracket unless it can be moved.

This does not affect diesel models. (At least I don't think so).

Can you post a pic of the charcoal canister?
Looking at the bonnet strut forwards, there should be 2 free tapped holes on the side guard in order for the compressor bracket to fit.

Here is a photo of the larger charcoal canister (courtesy Trekrider) which is not compatible with the compressor bracket.

Combo bracket looking good there Andrew.

My Racor with filter and bowel is 235 mm from the top of the bracket to the bottom of the drain. The drain screws in to open so will not be any longer. Does your bracket fit this with room to spare? Happy to post more dimensions if you wish.

The bottom/floor of the bracket is sloped. Currently it is 225mm at the high side and 237mm at the low side. I will make it a bit higher so it can fit.

Here's a pic I found of the 150 V6 engine bay. It looks like it also uses the large charcoal canister. So the compressor bracket is a no go for 150 V6.

Andrew, I forgot about the TJM measurement thing. A member reminded me on Friday last week. I am on a break today, so will do them for you. I will put up some photos as well.
The bracket for the filter and the compressor is a great idea I reckon.

Without the tray : Height-195mm with the handle. You could easily take off that handle. Take 25mm off for that.
Length-274mm
Width-100mm
There is now a few customers of mine and PP members up here that are interested in this bracket. This compressor does come out of the same factory as the Dr. Air units I think.
Sorry I took so long to get you these measurements. If the TJM thing fits into the bracket, I will pull that bottom plate off and measure the feet for the holes.

Amts...I'd be interested in the combined compressor (TJM/ARB?), Parker Racor 230R or 120 fuel filter/water separator bracket. I'm not 100% into fuel filters or what I'll end up with so here is a useful link I found:

Maybe you can design one that takes both the filters I've mentioned....not that I'm being fussy or anything....may get yourself a larger market share but lesser costs!!??

Not sure they would be suitable for under bonnet mounting as the ARB job with all those motor vents though. They are listed at Rays Outdoors HERE (about $250 then) I think a mate of mine has one of these, I could try and borrow it if you want to measure it up for CAD?

They can go as low as $200.00 when they are on special from TJM. If you get stuck I will get out the calipers. Let me know what you want as in measurements.

With the dimensions provided, the TJM compressor will sit too high on the bracket. I will need to look at one physically to determine what cutouts in the bracket are achievable to bring the TJM compressor lower.

Looking at the top chamber, there appears to be 3 outlets. 1 looks like the air filter, 1 for the pressure gauge and 1 for the outlet. Would any of these be interchangeable and can the pressure gauge be removed and sealed off with a plug?
