You shouldn't need to disconnect the wiring from the headlight loom. Probably easiest to cut the existing wire from the Narva light and solder the joint and then heatshrink. Then split corrugated tubing over the top.

Yeah..I didn't disconnect the wiring loom, the plastic lug anyhow looked to bitchy to get out. The Narva light was soldered to another (other indicator wire) so I soldered that solder join out. Had to take battery out to get good access to all the joins. The light was dimming so I'm leaving all the re-soldering for later!! I found heatshrinking the LED wires best before installing the light....can do it on your kitchen table....made sense to me!!?? Not when it's in the vehicle. Corrugated tubing sounds a good idea but I'm not going back to the boat shop and I think the heatshrink should suffice, looks similar to the OEM sheathing??? Anyhow seems like I was on the correct path without any advice!!!! Thx. C.

What I meant was that you leave the joints behind the headlight alone as it is fiddly, as you've found out.

Instead cut the wires about a foot behind the Narva light and then join the wires from the new light.

I have had a 20W light bar for a few months now but haven't had time to put it on in the space of the fog lights. The issue is drilling the hole to mount the light bar as it is quite hard to get a drill in there.

No, but the DRL version will be available soon. I'm getting the manufacturer to change the wire colours and lengths so that extensions aren't needed.

No sorry. I have only been investigating stuff to fit what is on my Prado first up. Can take a look at it next year.

No dramas, heaps on ebay but though would rather buy from a PP'er if possible.
