    Pity about that, my 1KZ is a manual, looks like i will have to get a Tunit or DP chip.

      I'm in the same boat jaywindy. Wondering if Robert has a view on which chip suitable for the 1KZ manual is better.......
      2001 GXL TD, 2"OME lift, 265/75 Cooper STs, Rear locker, GME 3200 UHF, custom rear storage system w drop down table, Rhino Racks, Safari Snorkel, TTimer, custom side steps, Uni Filter....and 3 kids seats!!!

          There is a new Chip It chip that will be released real soon for the 1KZ and should suit the manual.

            Got mine on Tuesday thanks Robert

            report to come with just chip and EGT, then with muffler replacement and then with complete exhaust replacement.

            looks good from a quick peruse over the kit and info

              On another note, my chip and EGT get installed Wednesday. I was going to do it myself but CBF after the effort with the 3 inch exhaust.

                From reading your posts Rob it dosn't look like you have done any your self. You just pass the tools to Matt lol

                Would hate to see what happens if Matt isn't around and something goes wrong

                  Actually I took the bloody thing of except for a small pipe at the front which I left for Matty. Not really asking much, he only had to undo 3 easy peesy little bolts. I mean ignoring the numerous posts describing how this is an absolute prick of a job, how hard could removing 3 bolts be?

                  He did put all all on after, but in my defence I was at work carrying the responsibility of making sure SA and the greater Australia survives the GFC....

                  I will ignore the fineprint lol

                    Tune It and DP (and Roo and Rapid) all use the very same chip!

                    Flip open a 4WD Action mag and check their product pics ... all the same ... just a difference sticker on the box.

                    They import them from Europe ... so all your $$$ are heading out of the country whichever way you do it. :-(

                      Correct. I have never fitted one. I dont fit much these days ... I just tune and write up reports. Always stuck behind a dog gone computer!! Justin, Dean and Adam do all the fit ups. BTW, who is Matt?

                      Guys also we have some good news.

                      We are also closer to getting the RF interference issue sorted with the Prado 120 and 150. It is 100% now an RF filtering issue. We have some parts on order (ferrite clamps) that gives us the filtering we need.

                      It is a simple fix but trying to nail it home has been difficult as we needed to find the right strength ferrite. What all the customers that had trouble with stalling issues etc (with our chip and also DP, Tuneit Roo etc) were experiencing is related to RFI. This was either in the form of UHF transmissions (ie using a walkie talkie in the cabin) or some other random RF signal and could also be injector noise depending where the chip was mounted. As mentioned, not all customers experienced this problem but too many for our liking.

                      If you have experienced this issue with our chip, feel free to send it back to us for rectification. We will even pay for postage.

                        Robert is Schafer' previous post correct then, that you are still working on a chip that will suit the 1KZ manual?

                              My understanding is that the engineer, Andre, is working on the new chip which will be released very very soon. I also believe that this addresses the current issue with the manual. My understanding that there is no significant change, performance wise, for the auto from old to new.
