Hi Jason,

Are any of the 150 kits listed on the PradoPoint store suitable for a Kakadu? I'm really only looking to compensate for the weight of the TJM steel bar and a Tigerz11 12,000lb winch with Dyneema rope I have yet to install.

Hi Corine, King do have Springs suitable. With KDSS we will need to use KTFR-121 front springs.
These are specific KDSS springs that have been made by King Springs.
You can then trick the rear airbag system as per other related posts here on Pradopoint to gain a medium rear lift to suit.

The KTFR-121 is an 800lb linear rate spring, which approx 20% firmer than the OE spring.
Should work fine for what you need.

What is the length? That and the spring rate is critical to determine whether it will be suitable for fido666's application to obtain the correct final ride height.

I have not fitted a set of either of these to a vehicle as yet.

My King's catalogue still lists the KTRS-102 & KTRR-102 for the 150 with KDSS as per below.

Can I be dumb and ask why there are 2 different sets for the KDSS fronts? Is it just to obtain different ride heights?

KTFS stands for: Kings Toyota Front Standard
KTFR stands for: Kings Toyota Front Raised

And the KTFR springs still allow you to retain the Toyota TEMS shocks?

Corine, as amts mentioned in this thread, http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post385637 you can keep the TEMs system by using the existing shocks but you need to consider the existing Max Droop available to avoid "Topping" out your shocks after installing taller Springs

The KTFS would be near equivalent to your factory springs.
The KTFR would raise the front by 40-50mm (compared to factory height) assuming you didn't have the bullbar. So with the bullbar and winch, the lift would be less.

Remembering that the Springs Jason has mentioned are the 800lb linear rate Springs (Heavy Duty). Going on a 120 with similar springs I would imagine it would well & truly support the additional weight of a Bullbar & Winch without too much sag..
