    Glenn,

Gave mine to Hutch today for a test on the V6. Even sitting in the driveway revving it sounded ready to take off.

Ok picked up the wind booster from Paul today, done about 50k since, put it on P2 setting 10 and for the petrol dare I say it was pretty wild, coming out of every corner all it wanted to do was kick back to first gear.... I had to learn that I didn't need as much throttle to get the car going like I was use too, I also wound the setting back to 6, still pretty impressive. I will try some different settings over the next week and report back but first impression is very impressive.. Would be interesting driving a rear drive hilux 4.0lt with one of these, Giddy up..

Yep, i'm addicted to having set at P2 10 setting, already got my first speeding fine 20 metres from home, with the 33" tyres didn't realise the speed i was doing 20 metres from taking off from home.

        Cheers Derek

My wife has a brand new Alfa Giulietta with Alfas DNA settings - Dynamic, Normal and All weather. Suffice to say that I always use the Dynamic setting for improved throttle response. I think one of these would be the way to go in my V6. If I was interested in fuel economy, I'd have a diesel.

Slight problem with my Wind Booster.

I think it has disabled the Cruise Control as after the install it will no longer will switch on. Have to check it out - will check the fuses and remove the booster and reconnect back to standard and see what is going on.

I will post up the results - anyone else had problems with their cruise control after install?
              Cheers

I used cruise whilst mine was fitted and it worked fine, actually a little better than normal.

So in effect Rob, are you happy with it?

With the better exhaust system on my petrol model, put the boot in and away it goes, however, can be cruising along a country road, put the foot down a bit and it may take a short while to respond. Put the foot down a long way and it takes off, but probably using a bit too much fuel. Seems to be a slow response at times.

                    Dave.

Dave, yes very happy and for $250 seems like a very cheap upgrade, took away the flat spot and coupled with your exhaust u will love it. I even think I managed to use less fuel when driven normally as u don't need to stab it as hard to get it going.

                        Hi guys,

Bit of a puzzle with the cruise - all the electrics fine, pushed the connection down a little firmer, restarted all fine and working well. Tried changing the booster settings whilst on the fly - no problems. Then one occasion the cruise would not switch on again so switched the engine off and restarted and all fine again. Not sure what it is but not likely to be the booster - might be the brake switch which has been an issue in the past and was replaced under warranty.

Got to be careful on P2 - started spinning the rear wheels - even with the traction control - probably my rear auto-locker kicking in hard under that sort of acceleration.

                        Cheers

Well, here are some figures for you to think about for 0-100kph sprint. Auto D4D.

Road conditions - rough country road, wet bitumen, ambient temp = 18C, misty rain, air intake temp = 18C, 50L of fuel in the tank, no passengers,

                            1. Toyota specs for the 120 D4D - 12.2 sec (how did they work this out?)
                            2. Best run - no mods on = 14.4 sec
                            3. Booster P2 = 13.9 sec
                            4. LPG on (Booster = Off) = 13.5 sec
                            5. TRD chip on (Booster =Off) = 14.0 sec
                            6. Booster P2 + TRD +LPG + intercooler fan = 12.6 sec

Turbo lag from standing start is the biggest thing I noticed, but once spooled up things improved quickly. Sprint from 60-80kph (everything on) = 4.8sec.

No performance king these D4Ds but loads of torque for off road use.

                            Cheers
