  • 4.3" GPS SOLD!!!!

    ITEM: 4.3" Oskar GPS
CONDITION: Used but in good working condition
REASON FOR SELLING: No longer needed (upgrading to in-dash system)
PRICE AND PRICE CONDITIONS: $100 ONO.
LOCATION: Adelaide (can post registered interstate for $10.00)

EXTRA INFO: Fully working GPS running OziCE with lots of Maps already loaded onto the SD card. I can also help out with how to find other 1:250k maps if you are new to using OziExplorer. Geoscience Australia is one source for FREE and very good maps. The system also runs IGO8 for street navigation. The different Nav programs are on separate SD cards (so you are getting 2 x SD cards). I keep both in the ciggy tray (don’t smoke ? ) and load in Ozi when we leave the bitumen. Comes with car charger, windscreen mount, and USB cable.

    PM for any extra info.

What sort of features does IG08 give you? Sorry, I'm not familiar with either IG08 or OziExplorer.

Gday fido. Igo is for street navigation. It gives you points of interest like servos etc and you get voice guided navigation if you set a destination (i.e. turn right in 300m etc).

Ozi doesn't provide this functionality. It is more 4x4 oriented. So you load in maps for the Simpson desert or wherever so you can follow these tracks using the Ozi gps. There is loads more you can do like waypoints and trails etc too.

      Cheers
      Ian.

OK thanks. Does it have lane guidance by any chance? I've not heard of the Oskar brand before so links to specs would be helpful too.

Ah I see, that would be useful once you learn how to use it all
