    ITEM: 1997 Landcruiser Prado GXL VZJ95R 5dr 3.4L V6 4spd Auto Blue
    CONDITION: Used. 160,000KM. Interior is nearly spotless. Mechanically A1. Paint work has some pin striping from bush driving.
    REASON FOR SELLING: Moving to an 80 series cruiser
    PRICE AND PRICE CONDITIONS: $14,990 ONO
    EXTRA INFO: Has 2" OME suspension lift + rear ARB locker and compressor + Cooper ATR's that have done 20,000KM.

      Declan, I guess you need a starting price but me think it may be a bit over the odds,not sure what Redbook value a 97 mod at, kms are good for age but a now 15 year car,no safety pack. I sold my one for 9k but more kms lots of xtras but only RV6 but with a full option safety/power pack
      Good luck and enjoy the new bus (a Corolla????)

        Declan, I have one reference for you to get a good sale, although not exactly the same model as mine is RV manual and in different story.

        Last week, when I came to carcity.com.au centre in Sydney to have a look at a LC 100 turbo Diesel, I intended to trade in my rig for that LC and asked the dealer to get my trade in value with all-in trade-in.

        My RV 97 manual 3.4 gets 271kms on clock, working fine all things, of course it comes with a lot of mods as my signature.

        The dealer accepted to trade my rig for 9k.

        LOL. But finally I did not go through that deal as that LC was not factory turbo and was not in good condition.

            Hi Declan, I think you will sell it for fairly close to what you want. I just looked on car sales saw yours on there as well but your klms are a big advantage, probably the only other thing would do is try and polish the bush pinstriping off it as this will indicate its been off road and will posibly turn a few away.             If you can find a good quality turbo diesel in auto in a 97 model 80 series with the multivalve engine for under 15k I'd like to see it. Try average 25k for an average klm but in great condition, and if its a sahara in turbo diesel in auto then add another 5k+ easy and people are paying it.. There is a huge difference between selling private and trading, as you know thats how they make there money. My grande turbo diesel 95 01 model with all the gear I was offered maximum 22k trade in on some thing that was also overpriced, I sold it for 27, then walked into yard with cash and saved myself another 4k on what I was buying (the 120 I have now)(saved 9k)... They seemed to have crept back up a tad I think for some reason, I sold my 97 VX GRANDE in V6 form (had before the diesel) for $16500 with lift, bullbar,barrier, racks etc 175k on it 3 years ago in immaculant condition only had ABS as safety and duel airbags. Good luck with it and I personally think you will sell it very close to the price you have it advertised for.........Cheers steve

              You're right Steve. I don't give much credence to what Redbook says. It undervalues most of the cars I've looked at. It probably uses the same algorithm for calculating depreciation for all car brands which would be inaccurate.

                i dont know why you are all suggesting what it is worth... this is a for sale thread not a how much is my car worth thread... ive seen the car and it is in great nic and your getting a very capable prado for the price.
