So how come you swapped to the MK2 version? What's the main difference?

Mk2 can be mounted using the Maxtrax mounting pins. However if you look at the TraxRax thread you can see how the Mk1's can also be mounted (I bought my Mk2's before I saw that mounting idea) I also got a super deal on the Mk2's. As for performance, I have no idea whether the Mk2's are better as I haven't used them yet. The Mk1 versions worked amazingly well on the few occasions that they were used.

Got the box but reckon the snails might be an issue. Australia Post may be more viable?

Still keen, just running it by the OH (for a change). Will let you know ASAP since others are also interested.

ETA: OH has decided we should go with the Mk2 so one of the other guys can have these. Sorry to leave you all hanging.

                          No problem fido.
When I bought my Maxtrax Mk1, I also bought a set for a mate. He now has his for sale also. (changed over for same reason) He is happy to sell them at $170. His have also only been used a few times and are in good condition. He doesn't drive a Prado, but he does have a fully modded 80 Series.
So that means I have another pair for sale on behalf of my mate for those interested.
                          Cheers........wayne

The Australia Post snails cannot cope with a parcel that long, so it would need to be a courier job if anyone interstate is interested. Box is 1250mm x 360mm x 90mm and weighs 8.1kg
