How did you mount the barrier at the bottom? Is your barrier compatible with airbag equipped models?

Yes it is the airbag compatible one. The mounting with the original brackets involved drilling large holes through the side of the car and out into the wheel arch. I was pissed off when they did that.

I had taken out the back seats and put in a false floor so I ran some brackets up from the false floor to hold it in place. Another solution that I have seen done is some flat steel going along to one of the tie down points on each side.

Stephen can you confirm if the 3rd row seats MUST be removed to fit this barrier? I hadn't planned on removing mine but now with a 65L Waeco fridge to accomodate I might reconsider it.

Also how does it attach at the top? Do you have to drill into the grab handles?

This was fitted when I still had my third row of seats in place (but when fitted you can not open the third row seats.

OK, figured it would stop the seats from opening.

Do the top mounting backets require you to drill through the rear grab handles?

No, you take the grab handles off and they go into the same holes. 10mm socket. I will provide that with it as I purchased it for the job
