Did you have the basket fitted as per the picture? I just measured my rails and the gap between the rails at the back is 1020mm and at the front is 1015mm. BAsed on this and how it looks like it sits in the picture (on top of the rails so they support the basket) I guess this would not fit mine??
Have I worked this out correctly or am I missing something and got it wrong. Surprised you still have the basket this long, it looks a good unit. I am sure it would have to sit on the complete width of the rail to support it - is that right? You need crossbars fitted to the factory rails, then fit the basket on top of the crossbars. There may be a way to fit the basket directly onto the factory rails but it will probably be a custom job. Also, the factory rails may be slightly curve, so the basket can't sit directly on the factory rails. It would need some 'legs'.Originally posted by PradOzComment

amts - I thought you would normally use rails or crossbars running east/west to support the basket, but the picture looks like its sitting directly on the rails running front/back. When you scale up the picture it doesnt look lke crossbars are used. I am not sure how much higher it would be when sitting it on genuine crossbars. Anyone know what the measurement is from top of rail to top of crossbar is? or even what the height from Prado roof to top of basket would be??
Halojump - As a side issue - transporting these from point of sale in North Brisbane to me in Sydney - I have family near Palm Beach Gold Coast and also family in Toowoomba. Toowoomba is easy for me as I will be meeting up with them over Xmas at Nambucca Heads. Do you ever head to Toowoomba? or even Ipswich? I maybe able to get someone to arrange pickup from Ipswich area, not sure. I think my brother may be going to Radio Rentals for work reasons but have to check. NOt sure if Radio Rentals have an internal delivery/transport system, need to check that. I do not know the area where you live and the distances involved. Any thoughts there at all??? My Mum on Gold Coast would be more difficult as she not keen to travel and probably too difficult for her to transport back to her place. I am keen on the rack providing all things are suitable with vehicle setup and all works out re transporting it. Can you please confirm the overall dimensions (need L x W x H) and total weight (kg) all packed up ready for transport/freight company to pickup and deliver to me. (remember to include any fittings in weight etc).
When I get these I will confirm what the costs are with the freight company and any requirements and get then back to you
