WTB: Whispbar for 150 Prado

Chasing the whispbars that fit between the factory rails on a 150 GXL. I think the model is a S45.

I have seen a few come through, but keep missing them.

I am in Northern NSW, but happy to pickup from Bris or surrounds.....let me know if you have a set you don't need.

Bugger Bendman, you were the sort of bloke I was trying to get the attention of!!!

No worries....no hijack all on topic here.

Mostly just for my thule bike carrier can clip onto.

We are planning on a trip next month and need to take the bikes and I didn't really feel like paying full price for something that will realistically only get used once.....generally carry bikes on the ute.

I thought that these looked the goods, do you reckon they are strong enough for a aluminium basket and carrying light gear?

yes mate I do. They are rated up to 75kgs and when installed I felt confident they could hold that. There is a thread here on roof racks where a member has a basket mounted to their whispbars so it can be done too!

No worries, I thought that they would work ok, as the roof is only rated to 80kg, so i don't see the need to go for a heavier set of bars for the very limited amount of use they will get.

I went through that thread an found on Post 50 someone had mentioned that the S45 isn't actually the correct size for the 150 series, did you have any issues? I am thinking that I might order through the local Repco.....seeing they are having a sale on this gear atm.

Did you end up mounting a basket on yours?
