Wanted - 120 Series Chassis

I need a new chassis for my 2006 120 Petrol.

Can't be from officially "written-off" vehicle as chassis cannot be reused once vehicle is written-off without a whole lot of hoo-haa!

Ideally from uninsured damaged vehicle.

Long story, but it broke an engine mount a few years ago which was "repaired" by a "reputable" outlet near Hornsby who strengthened it so much that it fatigued the chassis all around the engine mounts. Chassis is now pretty much buggered and needs to be replaced. Vehicle has not really had a hard life, just used regularly on bumpy gravel roads - like a 4WD is meant to be used.

Oh what a feeling! Toy-breaka.

Do you realize the petrol and diesel cassis are different?

My understanding is that they are essentially the same with a few different brackets etc. If that is the case then it's not too hard to make one out of the other.

I believe Toyota will sell you a new chassis that suits either and you have to instal all the appropriate brackets to suit.

Perhaps I have been misled!

I would say more than a little different, the gearbox crossmember is a different spot to start with, shifting that alone could create exactly the same issue you had after the initial repair.
