Re: Automatic issues
I still have this problem and it is really starting to piss me off now, it is a real niggle more than anything as it only does it infrequently. It is only noticeable when exiting roundabouts as you accelerate out and start putting your foot down. I mentioned it at the first 1,000km checkup, they reset the computer and the problem still occurred. I asked again at the 10,000km service and was told that the 'techs' did notice it when taking the car for a drive, they then returned to the workshop removed the floor mat (Sangrabber) and the problem went away.
I couldn't believe this was what they were saying was the cause when I picked it up from it's service and they even had a notice dangling from the rear view mirror stating they had removed the incorrectly secured mat due to safety concerns! needless to stay I discussed at length with the service department as to how they thought this was possible and that if it was the floor mat it would do it all the time not just on roundabouts. They asked me to see how I went with it and come back and take one of the techs out for a drive myself if the problem still occurs. Well one week post service, with no Sandgrabber mat and only the toyota genuine mat and surprise, surprise the problem is still occurring. I will be taking it back when I get chance to take that 'tech' out for a drive.....
