How did you go removing the bullbar chassis bolts?

I want to do the same thing, but haven't investigated on how to remove the bullbar captive nuts.

I did the recovery points the around the same time that I fitted the bullbar so made I easier. The bottom bolt is threaded so I guess you are talking about the nut plate inside the chassis? When I fitted it had a small steel rod welded to it to slide inside the chassis to hold it while you line up with the bolt (if that makes sence). I fitted the recovery points before I broke this rod off.

There is a square hole approx 15mm x 40mm in the chassis around 200mm behind that bolt hole (just in front on the spring). This is where they would have put the nut plate in, have a look and feel around as the rod that I was talking about may still be in there. I only broke mine off because I had a rattle somewhere and thought that might have been it.
I didn't get any torque settings with mine, just the recovery points and bolts.

Hey guys.
Looking to fit front recovery points to my 120 with an ARB steel bar on it. (non winch)

I see there is a few on the net and they quote that some peeps with arb bars have had trouble getting them to fit ?

I had a quick look under my rig and i can only see one bolt hole that it could go through ? was hoping i wouldn't have to drill the second hole ?

any help would be awesome . cheers.

Hey Zutta I have a 120 with ARB bar and Amts recovery points. No new holes just reusing 2 that are holding the bar bracket on.

Just on this I was in at ARB shop and they showed me a new ARB recovery point that basically you pull form a single point. Looked pretty good and they said they are very new from ARB so more models to come.

I called ARB and said so any chance of one for a 120 Prado and they said there is one in the system but no idea when it will be available.

Anyone heard about this?

Heard a similar story, but I dare say ARB's focus is on newer release vehicles. In the short term...
