GPS/CD player stopped working

As you now know how to remove the head unit, I would suggest that you drive it there and get the head unit out yourself. Then all Toyota has to do is get the yellow box out and reset the head unit and clear the security code. However for them to do that, you must try and enter the code yourself for 10 times until you are totally locked out of the unit. By removing the head unit yourself, your dealer should not be charging you that much for a 10sec job. Refer to my post here http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post266975

That's what I figured but I rang 3 different dealers and they will all charge even if I remove it

Well I pulled it apart,couldn't find anything wrong but when I put it back together it worked. But now I still can't use it because I don't have the damn security code!

Try the last four numbers of your vin number ,thats what my toyota dealer set mine as

Maybe it's time to get a more modern unit like me

Yes I did see that thread actually. If I get a new one I would be after something a bit more modern than that.

Jut need to find something decent in a price range I can afford.
