And a ARB 2000 awning for $100!! bargain. I am absolutely stoked.

Thanks everyone for your help with chosing a brand. Hopefully it has helped a few others out there that had the same dilema as me.

Just need to purchase a 120 series mounting kit. The 'Garage Sale' didnt have any in stock to suit. Or thats what they said because they were so busy and had no time .

      Thanks

I am looking into a full roof rack for the 120 Prado.

I like the look and price of the Tigerz product.

I am just a little worried that the price will be reflected in the product and rust or be difficult to install.

Has anyone had any experience with them? Any advice is appreciated.

            Thanks

            Nate

I have had a very bad experience with tigerz11, so I would steer clear. I bought a roof top tent off them and it took over a month to arrive.
when it did arrive, it was terrible. parts were missing from fitting kit, holes drilled in wrong spots and incorrect size holes. had eyelets missing
from one side of the tent. all the support cords were too long and didn't provide any support at all. the bolts holding the frame together were loose and one side was missing a nut to hold it together. after contacting "customer support" I was then given the run around and had to supply photos of the problem, proof of purchase, etc. and in-between all of this I would call them up and provide all the info they required and awaited for their reply. well after a few weeks they stopped answering my emails and phone calls after I threatened to go to consumer affairs then they finally started replying again. finally I got them to accept to poor quality tent back (freight was at my cost mind you) they then had to wait for their new supply to arrive from over seas which took several months... once the supply arrived they sent me a tent cover not a complete tent!!!!!
more of a run around, later I then received a mattress from them..... again not a complete tent!!! finally 6 1/2 months later I got another tent...... and wait for it............. still same old crap as the first one!! after more arguments and run around I got a full refund (besides the cost of the return freight for both tents) I went out and paid the extra for an arb tent and guess what I love it!!!! 100 times better quality then tigerz11 and less stuff around if u need to claim warranty for any reason.... due to my experience I will NEVER but tigerz11 products again not only for poor quality but due to the lack of "customer support" I got and the rude staff I had to deal with..... I say ARB all the way!!!!

Larry, also check out the TJM T13 bar. I went that one over the ARB and Ironman etc. It is a great quality bar and the guys at TJM Nerang are really good. I am on the GC at Burleigh if you want to meet up and have a look at my Prado. I have done most of the major mods and used different gear from various suppliers ie suspension lift, exhaust etc. PM me if you are keen.

Yep, well my tigerz awning has been fine. They are all made in China, so what's the difference? Oh that's right, brand name and $$$.
Don't be fooled that you have to buy ARB overpriced gear. There is nothing wrong with my awning, and for the price of 149 I consider it good value.

I'm sure Hoody whilst you got a great deal @ $149 for your awning, if you put the 2 side by side you would see the difference in quality even though they're both made in China. If your tigerz awning is fit for purpose and you had no issues that required some actual customer service then your on a winner. I went to the other end of the scale and bought a locally made product with (IMO) superior materials. Yes it cost a fair bit extra, but I'm supporting a locally made product which I know if something ever did fail, I can source parts easily and have it repaired quickly.

I got my Tigerz11 awning installed yesterday. Very proud, rolled it out from the car and found mold on it and it was a little damp. It's going back Monday for a new 1. Everything else looks fine though build quality looks ok for a cheap product.

Follow up from above. I took it back yesterday and after some attitude from the store owner (Burleigh Heads) they replaced it with a new 1. Fully erected it yesterday and works and looks a treat.

How much mold? and where??? Is there something you can apply to your awning to stop that occurring?

It was on the top of the canvas and quite a bit in lines. It looks and felt like their storage facility got damp.
