Hi all, just seeing if anyone out there installed their outback drawers themselves and came across any issues. The instructions are a joke and I'm normally good with this sort of stuff. I have a 2007 VX so it has the rear A/C.
The instructions are telling me i needed the rear "hat" spaced at 156mm from the rear of the drawers to mount into the original seat mounts but their not even close to this, its more like about 300mm.
They also tell me to put a 25mm and 30mm spacer "longways" under the hat but it doesn't say whether this would be at the bolt location or at the recess slightly further across. If I put the spacers at the bolts the entire drawer system is supported by the 4x spacers which have a much smaller surface area that i would have thought you'd want for loaded drawers. If I put them in the recesses they'll just be loose.
Also the 12mm spacers under the handles are about 20mm short of being in ln line with the 20mm ones at the ends. I would have assumed you'd want the entire rear making contact.
To add to this they only included 2 M10 fine bolts which turned out to be longer than i need as well.
Any advice would be great thanks, Cheers, Rosie.
