  • Runing Cable from Aux to Chassis Rail to power rear Anderson plug (photos wanted)

    Hi Guys

Does anyone have any photos showing how they ran their cable (6B&S or similar) from their auxiliary battery to the rear to power an Anderson plug on their V6 Prado?

Looking more specifically how the twin cable (or single) was run from battery through Engine bay and down to Chassis rail.

I am undecided whether to run the cable around the driver’s side engine bay then down, or straight from battery down to chassis rail (preferred option) without going around half of engine bay. I have trolled the forums but have not found many photos showing the specific route, mounting points to hold cable/conduit in place etc on way down to the chassis rail from the Auxiliary battery.

If you ran straight from battery down to chassis rail, was this left ‘loose until tied off on chassi rail?’ or attached to specific points prior to reaching chassis rail? Anything to be aware of etc?

Any photos, links or descriptions would be appreciated.

As you can see, I have made a template to mount a fuse box, relay block and 2 CB's. I was planning on running the rear power supply (twin 6B&S) along above the fuse box and relays in the picture below via the top CB, where as the bottom CB was on the + power supply to the Fuse box. However I am wanting to know if a better solution would be to running the rear wires straight from aux, hence the above post….rather then around the Drivers side engine bay then down….hope that makes sense?

      Hi Tknz
On your other post i replied with a link to how I ran my cables. I ran 25mm2 red and black from aux battery along the side of the chassis rail inside 25mm flexible conduit.

if you want more photos let me know.

        Thanks Sparksy

Yes that is good, I must have missed on my other post. I think my first option will be to run the 6B&S wire through the chassis rail if possible, to a custok made bracket at the rear utilising the spare bolt hole location.

        Cheers
        Tim
