ARB Delux Bull bar with Lightforce Driving lights

I received a PM from JimboD4d (James) asking about my ARB bar. I thought I'd reply via the forum for the benefit of others.

I also thought I'd tack it onto an existing thread instead of starting a new one.

The bar is an ARB deluxe winch bar in the "standard" grey powder coat.
The grey powder coat is a close match to the side step colour so ties in very well if you decide not to colour match to the vehicle.

I have Light Force 170's fitted which sit on approx 20mm spacers.

I have removed the wing/side plates and fitted flat 6mm alloy plates (like ARB do on the current Hilux with this style bar)

I have painted the bodywork where the 20mm gap between the bar and fender is flat black.

Buy the fog lamps separate. Connect the fog lights to the standard wiring. This way the wiring loom that comes with the fog lights can be used for spot/ driving lights (it's good for up to 300 watts of lights).

Thanks for that Mick, i appreciate the effort. The grey powder coat looks quite good on your rig, but i think i will go the colour coded option.

My comments may have been mis-read, I made the plates (I got the idea from looking at a current Hilux with ARB bar).
You can't get flat plates from ARB for the 120 bar.

If you want to do this mod just use the ARB plates as a template and trace around them. (Tip: on carboard first)

You need to cut clearance for the body mounts and the washer bottle on the passenger side. (I also wrapped the washer bottle in insertion rubber held on with cable ties)

I used 6mm alloy plate. I have drilled and tapped threads into the plates which saves frigging around with nuts in hard to reach places.

I painted the plates and under the bar in flat black paint.

Looking at getting the 240 Blitz installed onto my new ARB Deluxe Bar (waiting on delivery). What have you guys been using as spacers?

I have the 240 Blitz mounted on my deluxe bar and haven't needed any spacers whatsoever. They clear the grill and fit between the bars.

Did you need to drill any additional holes when you installed the lights? Does it use 1 or 2 holes for mount and power?
