Hi Nahor
The pins are actually more like nuts that fit into each chassis rail about where the radiator sits. You actually have to move the radiator out of the way to fit them in. A large bolt then passes from the front of the bar, from behind the plastic covers that fit over the uprights, through the mounting bracket and into the chassis pins. They literally pull the bar onto the chassis. Its a 12mm by 130 mm HT bolt so it gives extra strength and takes some of the load off the mounting bolts.
Another thing to make sure is that you fitted the rear chassis mounts, these generally are lost along with the chassis pins when the bars are removed. They give more leverage support to hold up the bar. If you need a set of the instructions PM me with your email details and I can forward on a set.

Hi
Ive just got a secondhand sovereign bull bar for my 120 and was wondering is anyone has the instructions to fit it.
I understand the inner skirts have to be trimmed but is there anything more involved than that.
Thanks
Wayne
Hi, I've got my hands on a second hand sovereign bar, and I have purchased a fitting kit from Toyota.
In the fitting kit instructions it makes reference to the fog light housing. I seem to be missing the fog light housing, does anyone know if these items can be bought seperate? I have spoken with Toyota and knowbody seems to know what I'm after. I've had a look at a mates prado and there is definitely some sort of black plastic housing which is holding the fog light in place and is screwed to the bar.
Could someone please help....
Cheers,
Chops.
Hi Chops
If you have the fitting instructions its item 7 on the parts list.
They are sold separately and when I bought the left hand one for mine two weeks ago they were $29 ea.
Just pulled wrapping out of bin and the part # from toyota is PZQ29-60165-HR ( Light surround RH ) for the right hand side and the left to be PZQ29-60165-HL.
Just a thought but wouldnt it be handy if some one with the instructions posted a link to them on this site. would think it was very helpful. i will be removing my bar in the near future so if some body wants one pm me for a deal
Could someone send me the fitting instructions too please? I'm chasing down a rattle in the left guard and want to find out how to get the l/h guard liner off! I suspect something is hot attached.
Thanks
Well thanks to Sparksy I now have a set of instructions and can say that the bar was fitted when the vehicle was purchased new and there are no chassis pins fitted at all  . I bought the vehicle second hand from the same dealer it was bought from originally so not sure if it is worth while or not chasing up on these pins.
Do you really need to have the chassis pins fitted :?
