    Re: Bosch Wipers

I just fitted those Bosch micro blade wipers and they are GREAT :!:

The arms move faster and smoother and leave no residue

      Re: Bosch Wipers

I recieved by Ebay wipers this morning from the seller as mentioned previously in this thread.

What a fantastic change they are to the factory wiper arms and blades. I will note that my rear wiper arms 'leaves' the surface of the glass at the very top of it's rotation but as someone else mentioned, it is on the black part of the glass so it is not actually noticeable looking from the rear view mirror. Took about a minute to change all three. The tip about removing the existing wipers as mentioned earlier as well is invaluable.

Took 2 days for delivery after payment to Brisbane. $28.00 for the three different sizes required including delivery.

Would recommend this avenue to changing out the old arms and for $28 will probably order another set from this seller and leave them in the shed for 'ron.

      Cheers, Rhet

Had this mod on the to do list for some time. Just achieved the transformation from the shuddering irritation to the "I can see clearly now" view that comes from the Bosch arms. Thanks again to Pradopoint, This should go hand in hand with the Hilux washer upgrade.
              Went the BA600 & BA530 from Bursons @ $23.30 each

After 3 years of use my Bosch Aerotwin need replacing, that's pretty good ROI. They still work but I think they've gone hard as they're starting to leave fine streaks.

Does anyone know if the Bosch wipers are made for the 150 as well? Have checked through some of the eBay listings and they say "Landcruiser Prado 1996 - 2009", not sure if that includes the 2009 crossover to the 150 series.

Can't see why not, does the 150 have the standard hook design?

How did you go with the 600 on the driver's side? I currently have the 550 but was considering the 600. Might be able to squeeze a 550 on the passenger side.

Will check as soon as the Prado comes home, it's gone out shopping.

ETA: By "hook design" do you mean the method in which the blade is secured to the arm? Mine have a metal claw each side of the blade that slots into a channel on the blade. The actual arms have articulated sections at each end (so the arm is not one continuous piece), I'm guessing that's to cater for the slope in the shape of the windscreen.

I got some from supercheap for $26 each, but they don't carry as stock so had them ordered in. They made an error and ordered two sets, and offered to sell me the second pair for an extra $26 total - bargain! So now i have a spare set. I have put a couple of images on my rigbuild for those interested.

                              Definitely a worthwhile addition.
