      Hey Rabs,
What did you do for recovery points? My bars getting fitted up on tuesday and like a few others I'm trying to figure out what the options are, I'm guessing I will have to purchase some bolt on recovery points.

TJM are following it up for me. They still have to fit sump and transmission guards.

Make sure the pics are small enough (there is a quota), try for 600pixels wide, that should be under quota.

Not sure if it will work but here are some pic's of the bar.
measured the clearance before and after. 11mm which is not bad.

Got my new Bullbar fitted Yesterday. Very happy with the work done by the guys at Hornsby TJM. Makes me feel like a friend and not a customer.

                    And here she is...

Very happy so far - less vibration than I imagined, I didn't realize it included a plate which went right back to the main bash plate - very happy about that.

Also thought it was great that the side wings can be unbolted. If they are damaged we don't have to replace the whole bar - this is probably standard on most bars, I just didn't realize it.

I need to make some flares as they don't make a bar specifically for the flareless GX. That should be done Saturday.

                    Think it looks great.

Styling is OK I guess - but from some angles, the outer alignment of the (curved) pipes are not at the correct angle to match the front panels on the car. The car's panels from the headlights back slopes inwards, whereas the bar's pipes slope slightly outwards. Wish they could correct this as it looks a bit out of alignment IMHO:

Fair enough I guess, or you could say it just follows the swept back look of the headlights

                          Hi all,
I've recently fitted my T13 bar. While wiring up the fog light switch i notice the switch TJM supply doesn't fit in the plug hole. It's a shorter and slimmer switch. While it just sits in, there's no secure "click". Do others have the same issue? I'm trying to work out how to post pictures....as it should help to explain more.

On another note the black plastic inner guards that get trimmed are fiddly to fit up to the steel wing on the underside. I've heard on one vehicle that an installer held it together with zip ties (comment from another owner of a T13) the instruction manual states to trim and drill screw holes in the plastic then fit up with supplied screws. They give instructions for the LHS which is very straight forward, but trying to get it done on the RHS below the water bottle is a real pain. There's not a lot of room at all. Would someone be able to put up some pics showing the trim attached to the wings on both sides please. Many thanks.

Also any news on recovery points that are compatible with the new model?

                          Thanks

                            tj5233,

Cant comment on the fog light switch, I didnt use it. I spliced into the existing fog light wiring.

As for the inner guard, I didnt bother putting the screws in, the plastic innner guard holds into the wing guard without any help. I think it depends on how the inner guard is cut.

As for recovery points, the outback ideas points will fit, you just have to turn them around so they face backwards. Not ideal, but better than nothing for the minute. I will fabricate something better when I have a chance.

Ahh, perhaps I should have put that my model is the GX 2007 year. It doesn't have a fog light switch in the dash cluster.

Any pics from someone who has the RHS guard fitted up would be a great help. I did try to push the plastic trim under the water bottle but don't like the way it most likely will rub.

Anyone with pics that can post would help me greatly. Or any tips info like Nozman (Cheers BTW ) provided would be helpful for me and possibly other readers of the site that are doing their own fitting.

i have the "Violets recovery points" which are longer than the outback ideas points (although I could cut them).
Until I get a winch I'm planning to have a recovery mount made up to bolt in place of the winch. Surely something that's made for a winch should be suitable for recovery points?? What do you think?
