  • Sovereign Bull Bar Compatibility

    Hey guys,

i have just bought a 120 Prado '07, that came with what i have identified from this forum as a Sovereign Bull bar. The vehicle came with a winch, but has been removed during the roadworthy as it was rusted out. The owner has given me the winch, and it looks pretty standard no name. it states 9000 pounds, but I cant for the life of me work out how it was attached... there are bolt holes at the front of the bar, facing forwards, i would have expected the winch to sit on some sort of cradle? are the winches on these bars attached side ways? also what type of winch can i purchase for this bar? will it take a 12000 pound winch from 4x4 Supa center? ive read somewhere that certain winches only accept 9000 pound winches?

Ill add photos later for context, just after a bit of guidance.

Also, how can i tell if the bull bar has the right brackets from the recall? im not sure what the difference would be.

    cheers for all the help.

yep, you need a winch cradle to fit it. Then it simple bolts on to the cradle front the front.
