Condensation on inside of windscreen

My truck has to park outside these days, as the camper-trailer takes its former garage space. We've had some heavy rain in the last few days, and I've noticed quite a lot of condensation on the inside of the windscreen. It's low down and right in the middle, I think above one of the demister outlets - and it's not just mist, but quite large droplets. This makes me think that maybe there is a quantity of water trapped somewhere in the ventilation system.

Does this ring any bells with anyone? Should I be looking for blocked drain channels or similar? I'll certainly have a good poke around when I can get to it in daylight, but I thought I'd ask in case anyone else had dealt with it before.

Dont worry about it, condensation is normal, it forms on the coldest parts (generally windscreens) and occurs when the surface it forms on is below dew point temperature. The easiest way to understand it is to google "dew point", it will explain it better than I can

Not worried, just a bit taken aback by how much there was. I don't recall noticing it last winter.

If your interior has become wet from the rain, the moisture will condensate on the windscreen when the sun comes out. It will actually condensate on all interior glass, which is not what you describe.
I may be drawing a long bow, especially as yours is a 2008 model, but it could possibly be a leaking heater core. When you turn the heater and fan on, do you get a coolant smell?

or there could be a bit of a gap around your windscreen , I have had issues in a car after getting the windscreen replaced. But if its worse than it used to be, it would pay to look for possible leaks or water ingress.

I had the same problem last week. Lots of water low down and in the middle of the screen. No idea why, but hopefully not the sign of an issue. Will be keeping a good watch on it.

Make sure the aircon drain is not blocked, also if there is a smell of coolant you may
have a leaky heater core.
