Lower door trim - outer

Hi all
Can anyone give me a heads up as to how the trims on the lower half of the doors(outside)on the 120 are held in place? I am assuming there are some plastic clips but not sure. Mine are starting to come away from the doors and are rattling which is annoying.
Wondering what i need to get to fix it, hopefully without pulling it apart to find out.

They are held on by plastic clips, just work out which ones are broken, visit the local Toyota dealer and replace. I had to do it to mine a little while ago, pretty easy to do and not that expensive.

Yeh that's right. If you can see any of the broken clips that you need to replace, take note of the colour. I have one clip broken and a panel beater friend noticed it. He told me that they are colour coded for different sizes. (I have never got around to fixing it.) Maybe see a panel beater for them and they would be a bit cheaper?

Thanks guys, figured there would be a trick to it. How do i go about removing panel from door? just pull gently or is there more to it? dont want to break any more.

I didn't pull the whole panel off because that usually breaks the other clips. Just pull it out as far as you can and you should be able to replace the broken clip, you may have to use long nosed pliers or something similar. Good luck.

I also have this rattle problem with broken clips - trying to decide between sourcing replacement clips or just getting some sikaflex in there!
The gaps certainly aren't big enough to replace clips without removing skin panels.

Sikaflex wins -put some around the broken clips and anywhere the panel had some play that was rattling when it was knocked on - now all gone!
