Hi All
Whilst reversing up a hill on a single track I hit a fallen blacken tree in near dark! Anyway the damage was to the bumper and rear quarter plastic panel damaging the screw and bung plug surrounds with a slight dent after poping it out. I think plastic welding is required or buy new panels.
If anyone is interested this is what they cost for an '08 GXL, unpainted:
Rear Plastic Bumper $470
Rear Plastic Quarter Panel $467
Rear Mud Flap $51
So what I would like to know is, has anyone removed/replaced the rear quarter wheel arch flare? I'd like to know if it's just 2 x plastic bung plugs on the wheel arch and the 2 x screws towards the rear bumper attaching it to the body and I'm assuming the actual arch component is stuck on via double sided tape, would I be correct in assuming this?
Thinking about replacing or removing these parts myself for the panel beater or new panels. Maybe a good excuse to get the kaymar instead???
Thanks
Nick
