We the family are taking the Tojo for a trip to Fraser. My 05 is still very shiny underneath and in the engine bay. I am not precious about keeping my car washed and sparkling but I would like to preserve the finish on the ally and gold passivated bolts etc for resale.
Is it worthwile to have the Prado rustproofed or is there enough protection there already. I dont believe in the Electronic Mumbo Jumbo rust prevention. I have read that they are fighting multiple law suits in the US and so the product has been dumped over here. Besides that electrolysis will only work if there is a complete circuit so the car would need to be totally immersed in salt water, like a steel boat is.
Is there a product that I can use and then wash off, say something like Lanotech or Inox for the engine bay? How about fish oil for chassis and under floor? I will be using the car wash at Rainbow beach when we get off the barge and I have seen the place where you can get an oilspray for the underbody but I dont think he will be open at 6:30am on a Sunday.
