To repair the rest of the scratches (there were quite a few) took them two full days and cost me $500.00.

jeez mate, i understand you were happy with the job. but for 2 men (am i right here?) to take 2 days to to do a paint correction is ridiculous. I and many others like me, do full paint corrections from ferrari's to ford fiesta's, and they take an equivelent amount of time, depending on square meters. ( i would spend a lil more time on a 575 maranello than i would an fiesta, or prado btw.) , 1 man half a day. A typical paint corection (which means, full cut and polish, inc scratch removal, plus t/ups of the vechile) is at a trade price worth $150-220, depending on condition. Service centres (ie your toyota dealer add 30%).
trust me when i say, i'm the prefeered repairer for the top european marques, brisbane metro area. I'm not beating me own drum or looking for work, i'd be asking mr chips of adelaide, why?

Hi Lippa,

I have read your post regarding the paint repair a number of times and I still can't decided whether you think the price oldsalt paid was a good price or if you believe he was ripped?

I am keen to get the scratches and a similar sized paint repair to that posted by oldsalt and would be keen to hear your opinion as you seem to know what you are talking about on this topic.
