Prodigy 3 error: Brake output shorted

Ok so as it turns out the problem is in the trailers, both of them. For some reason both trailers are wired up as 5pin with a 7pin plug on them. Hooked the car up to a brand new camper trailer and it works like a gem.

So I now have a new problem. Since yesterday and today I've stuffed up something and there is no longer indicator signal getting to the trailer plug on the car, neither left or right. Everything else seems to work still, minus the indicators. I've checked the wiring on the car side and nothing is touching. All 4 indicators on the car are working 100%

I'm thinking there might be a fuse or something similar I may have blown that relates to trailer indicators. I found a relay near the rear left tail light, inside the compart that holds the jack, does this have anything to do with trailer lights?

Short answer yes, they are the flasher repeater relays, there is also a fuse from
memory in the main fuse box in the engine bay associated with the trailer
lights, It may not be labelled though.

Oh, and as far as fixing the problem with the float(its wired up as a 5pin socket rather than 7) I was thinking about buying a connector to go betwern the prado and the float, and switching around the wires in the connector, rather than re-wiring the plug on the float as it works fine with the other car. Is there any reason this won't work?

No probs, glad to be able to help.

As for the adaptor plug, I think you can buy such a beast from
supercheap etc or make your own is ok, doesn't really matter what
pins are used as long as your not worried about compatability with other
trailers etc.
