G'Day,
After a really rough trip up to Cape Leveque and back over the weekend (corrugations were very bad) Ive noticed a squeak coming from the rear right hand wheel when traveling at low speed. It is a rotating squeak, meaning it happens once per revolution of the wheel. Ive jacked up the car to give the bearing a good shake and its all solid as a rock. with the wheel off and rotating the disk I can hear it from that hub area. Ive checked its not the diff or drive shaft. It almost sounds like a rubber type of sound but cant for the life of me pin point any further as I had no time to keep pulling it apart. I used the hose to wash the brake caliper and pads out to see if it was debris stuck in there. This eliminated the noise for a period of time but later that night it was back again. I have read some older posts finding loose rear wheel covers, flogged out shockies etc etc being the problem but not an answer for my particular predicament. Any ideas please?
Cheers,
