Why? To run 16" wheels? Not worth the trouble. Smaller brakes will probably render your car unroadworthy. My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

You can, but it's both illegal and dangerous so I won't tell you how.
If your 17" rims are touching you likely have an unsuitable offset. I would suspect they are touching because you gave reduced the track, which if that is the case is also illegal and potentially dangerous.
Best bet is to find suitable rims that don't touch.

its not the spokes of the rims that are touching, its actualy the inner diameter of the rim itself thats just touchingOriginally posted by AJ120 View PostYou can, but it's both illegal and dangerous so I won't tell you how.

That could still be because of the offset.Originally posted by adam84 View Postits not the spokes of the rims that are touching, its actualy the inner diameter of the rim itself thats just touching
Do you have any details on the rims, pictures, type, offset?

Well I think there is your problem.
Unfortunately I think you are going to have to look at changing rims, unless any rubbing is very minor and you can grind a bees dick of the caliper.
