  • Brake Booster Vacuum Blades

My manual tells me to replace these at 200,000kms. Anyone done it? What the hell are they anyway?

it is part of the vacuum pump, attached to your alternator.
i have never replaced them as a matter of service interval.
replace when they go. next to never.

I take my Prado into quite remote areas so I had these replaced at the 200000klm service. Mechanic had never reolaced them before and Toyota dealer had never sold a set before. So up to you. I don't want to have issues when I am in the middle of nowhere but it is all about you appetite for risk (and I suspect the risk is low but I am not a mechanic)
          Cheers....Wayne
