Fault Codes re Hyd brake booster

My 2007 D4D runs out of warranty early 7/10 and I took it to a Diesel Specialist for pre end of warranty check up.

He ran the scan tool and under "body" it showed up 4 fault codes
CO226,CO236,CO246 AND CO256


Fault in each case was

Open or short circuit in hyd brake booster solenoid

Anyone care to comment on this.

Googled the fault and came up with this link which is for a 2002 4runner .The codes shown in link are the exact ones on mine.

Interestingly item 25 is to do with brakes and states

New Toyota LandCruiser Prado has a revised brake package for increased active safety.

Four-piston opposed-type front brake callipers increase braking performance and reliability.

Piston diameters have been increased for greater effectiveness.

Front ventilated rotor thickness has been increased from 28mm to 32mm, resulting in a 14 per cent increase in heat capacity, which improves anti-fade performance.

In addition, Toyota has redesigned Prado's hydraulic booster and brake pedal link ratio to improve brake feel.

Wonder why they redesigned the hydraulic booster :?:

Probably to stop overheating when active traction/stability control kicks in.

Took car to Toyota today for 60000km service and brought the fault codes to their attention..
They found the fault codes but when they disconnected the Scanguage no fault codes. They did this several times and took vehicle for a short run and each time scanguage was disconnected fault code dissapeared.

Have spoken to Wooders Garage where I bought scanguage and they said it was the first time they had heard of this and will get back to me.

Toyota said there was no problems as far as they could see.

When Dave gets back to me I will advise further

Hyd brake booster

I'm not sure about this one but I think it would be best for you to replace your brake booster. I'm in the same situation before and I replaced mine.
