Anyone here have experience with the Detroit Truetrac as a replacement for an open diff on the rear?
I have option pack 1 (traction control) fitted to my vehicle and find the brakes keep operating when driving on sand. This results is a large amound of rear end movement left to right. I don't want a full locking diff as I'd probably never use it. My main driving is outback dirt/gravel roads, bitument around town and sand driving on the beach.
I was trying to find a torque sensing diff with locking feature (same as the centre diff) but Torsen don't have many details on their website and only list one supplier in the US. I want to stay away from clutch type LSD's as I don't want the hassle of rebuilding these when the clutch packs wear.
Thanks,
