    Re: Noisy Clutch

Do I have to open/get into the clutch housing for this? and how hard is this to do? I've never had to work on a clucth issue before.

    Cheers

No... take a look on the passenger side of the bell housing. You will see the clutch slave cylinder and the fork where it enters the housing. Lube where the slave cylinder pushes on the fork, pull the rubber boot back and lube the pivot.

Use a spray/aerosol grease with an extension tube on the nozzle.

Done. Cheers for the help Mick, a lot easier then I initially thought it would be.

The bad news is that my car is now out of warranty and Toyota are reluctant to give me a 3 yr/ 60 000 km wty on the new parts, despite the fact that the original parts never saw out the warranty period in the first place.

If anyone else in Brisbane has the problem and the vehicle is still under warranty, shoot me a pm and I will give you the contact details for the guy at Torque Toyota Brendale that I have been dealing with and now knows about the issue.

Well what do you know, 30 000kms later since a completely new clutch kit was installed (allegedly) and guess what, that old faithful squeaking throw out bearing noise is back. Time to go and have a chat with the manager at at he dealership that has done all the work I think. There is obviously something simple that is being overlooked and has never been picked up on the 4 previous attempts to fix it. A mis-adjusted pedal causing a misaligned fork perhaps???

G'day. Recently had my clutch go on a D4D 6 Speed. Got in contact with Joel from PDM USA through this thread. He is still looking at making the replacement kit but is in need of the following dimensions if someone is able to help him. For me the car was out of action and had no choice but to replace with what was available, but this may help someone in the future that isnt under time constraints

Joel's response to me "I need one dimension to finish the TSK49 Sleeve Kit. Attached is a drawing depicting the dimension with a question mark. Perhaps you can assist in some way acquiring it"

            Anyone able to help?
