Since I am going through an engine on my D4D, and the mechanics pulled the gearbox out and noticed that the clutch was pretty much down to the rivets.
I was offered three options on clutch:
1 OEM
2 Aftermarket Heavy Duty
3 Aftermarket
I chose OEM, as I will spend the majority of the time on bitumen, with the occasional forestry roads for the rally car club that I belong to.
I MIGHT get more serious about some 4x4 tracks in the future.
Suspect that the current clutch has done 170k KM's.
