It wasn't very clear zoomed in but I could see the 21w load resistor is in the right place. From what I could make out all looks good.
I had a couple of reasons for selling the 120, financial being one, peace of mind/reliability being another. After the holed piston I always had doubt about if/when it could go again. As much as 'experts' crap on about keep up the maintenance and checks all will be good, I still believe it's pot luck and there is no real way of knowing if or when it could go bang.

Interesting how our confidence drops when something goes wrong. Understand your concern re the holed piston. After i rebuilt ours it took 6 months to start to trust it again. Didn't help when the injectors started to cold knock after 20000 km. We have now fixed the injectors with a replacement set and now 50000km of reliable motoring later, including the 'take 2' trip to Kimberly's i now consider the engine to be good and trustworthy.
Back to subject on the T/C lockup. I haven't been able to find the circuit Trav designed for mine, but also starting to think it's not 100% needed. I will keep mine in as i like to lockup in 3rd climbing ranges when towing. But installing the cooler was more beneficial in reducing auto temperature. I keep accurate fuel figures and the T/C lock has not helped at all in towing tests. If anything it used more fuel. I now will change to 4th and allow the T/C to lock via the ecu instead of trying to hold 5th locked. The engine tends to labour at 2000 rpm but spins freely at 2600 rpm when going up a small climb.
Not a fan of locking in 1st low when descending, preferring to use cautious left foot brake pressure even with the trailer.
In summery our lockup kit cost under $100 and many hours of testing and checking the values with special oscilloscopes and some trial and error on resister values. If i was to do this again would use a pulse wide modifier instead of a resister (Travs words). It was a fun project to do.

MRW82. Poo. Mark, I didn't know that you blew your motor. Last time I talked to you, you were heading out to Cunninghams Gap towing Zook. That was in August. Where were you when it popped? Was it towing? That is real scary especially with Rustys going as well. I don't know what I would do if Chardo went as I luv the 120. It has just been so good for us with the Pop tool van.Did you go auto again with the 90. I have just ordered a 7 mm blank plate for the EGR. I read pall the bits last night. You blokes are always a long way ahead of me in gadgets. Mark, does the relay pin nos. look ok in my blurry image? Thanks for checking for me. I need it. Nite mate. Bill.
Rusty62 you have done it again. Another bit of technology I haven't even heard of. If I get my lock up kit working with normal 5 pin relays, later I would like to try my luck with the mini duel latching relays you are using. I am finding I am getting quite excited as iI get closer to the mark. That is scary having the two of you with popped motors. I will be hearing all sorts of noises now. OK , must go for T, and another beer. Take care .Nite Bill.

What model is your 120. The GXL with safety pack has the traction control as the VX and Grande. From what i've seen the electrics for the T/C are slightly different with Traction control.
As the motor failures this has been documented by many in other posts on PP. From the research i have done almost all the failed motors where chipped and towing at the time of failure. Interestingly on ours we had towed the camper to Cape York and back with no issues but the Kakadu trip killed it.

Still looking for the circuit Trav designed.

Hi mate, I have just went and had a read of D4Detonation x 6 pages and photos. Wow, you blokes have had a rough time. I really feel for you. I think I will start to pray for Chardo every night now. My GXL is the basic model. No frills or safety packs or traction control but I luv it. A very basic cracked dash though. Not as bad as a cracked piston. I hope the new donk gives you a good run mate. I may have even seen you up here as I live in Adelaide River and do all the mowing of Parks through town and rest areas and towns. Batchelor A/River. I must go as work calls me once again. Take care and Thanks. Bill.

Hey Bill, we still here.
We used a 12 ohm 50 watt resistor to give 1 amp for the solenoid in the gearbox and a 6.8 ohm 100 watt for the ecu return signal. The pic has a 12 ohm 25 watt resistor.
Trav is doing a better circuit and will post hopefully later today. I will also try to get a pic of the aluminium plate i used to mount the resistors on.
Pic of the plate with resistors. This was taken with a usb camera. I mounted a spare resistor if one failed. This plate (100 x 100 )is mounter on the side next to glove box using a 6mm screw into a spare thread on the side.

New engine feels fine but have only done 50000 since rebuild. Not using the car for work anymore due to not working but have a position starting 18th April and will be supplied company car, so both the 120 and the 100 will stay in the shed. You will like the manual mapper from Ozbush. With the 100% block your engine will no longer eat its own poo making the inlet clean forever. Run our at +8 and like the way the auto changes similar to standard. At -5 the auto changes at slightly higher rpm. Still chasing Trav for the new circuit for the T/C lock.
