Transmission ECU Reset

My gearbox seems to be holding 4th upon occasion and having torque converter flare. I was considering resetting the transmission ECU using techstream to reset the learning values.

Has anyone done this procedure and have any tips I need to know about? The reset is usually only required if the gearbox is removed from the car for repair or if the valve body solenoids are changed.

Don't worry. Just tried to reset the memory and techstream gave back a message saying there's no memory to reset.
