So what happens when you try? does the little stick move or not?

I have something similar in my auto, must be in "Park" to be able to get it in or out of RL. Never heard of it in a manual .... does it grind when you try it and does the stick feel firm?

                Re: Cannot select Low range

Stick is jammed solid near on no movement at all apart from a bit of flex in the stick, It is a manual so its not the Park or Neutral situation,
I have spoken to a mate a toyota mech and he said likely to be selectors are jammed up
Fingers crossed that all it is, Other wise he said there is a bush that wears out or lets go.

                  HI all
Well here's the problem, the vehicle has previously (prior to me) had a new clutch fitted,
when they reassembled they managed to not insert the 4wd stick into the socket and was jammed in beside
therefore it wouldn't move out of high.
I was going to remove the rubber boot myself last night but opted to take it in to toyota
The guys at Galleria Toyota in Morley had it sorted in about 30min tops and cost $50
                  can't complain about the service.
Now off to catch a big Fish down south
                  Cheers pickles

No wonder it was jammed!

                    Good result though.

No fish left near Esperance - all gone unless you can get out to sea a bit. Oh, you might get a salmon (cat food).
