Yeh, ABR has some very well priced stuff but their monitor is the wrong size for me. Derek has saved me some dollars on other item.
Gotta be some other alternatives........

Jaycar (and probably other electronics stores) sell these things. There are different options available and they are about $40-$50. The one in the image above has voltage (sin gle battery only) plus temp in and out plus clock for about $45.00. http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView...e&form=KEYWORD
something like those ones. i thought it was able to switch between 2 batteries, but it was a quite awhile ago that i seen it. i cant remember who had it

I'll second madkore with the luna unit, only down side is trying to see it during daytime (postion most likely) plus its size is to big for your requirements
2008 GX turbo diesel auto 5sp Fitted: snorkel dual battery kit kaymar twin wheel carrier Evenutally fitted: Bullbar VHF & UHF radios, storage system Still to come: winning lotto number to pay the blessed thing off set of decent side steps/rock sliders
Too many projects so little time and even less money
Solved my dual battery monitor problem! Picked up an LCD monitor that shows voltage as per the picture. Will rig up an On-Off_On switch and hey presto, dual battery voltage meter.
Just have to rig it up.

That looks good I bought the piranha one and had it secured (well sort of) with double sided tape, but kept coming off, so I used the same blank plug as you groves out a slot for the cable and glued it to the blank with hot melt glue. I would of preferred your option if I had thought of it.
...If its not on all 4's it's not on.....

I've got an ABR one in mine. I've attached it to the centre console with double sided tape. Does the job and has the link batter switch.
Jaycar have an adjustable voltage monitor/cutout device that is good for 20A with a heat sink and 10A without. These can be wired to a power relay to make a power cut out device. If a relay with enough contacts is used, a buzzer can be wired to a spare contact for an alarm.

Mitch. I have one of the inserts and use a on-off-on switch (carling switch). This means no bulgy sticking out bits. I like my final result per my rig build, just need to connect it up.

my uhf radio includes volt meter (on the hand piece) and since it's hooked up to the 2nd batt it also monitor it...just a thought for some of you who would like to save some $

gme tx3340, one with the remote mic keys, however i'm pretty sure other models would have it too. As a default option the radio displays signal strength when receiving (talking to someone) however i changed it to monitor my 2nd batt (quite easy to swap to signal strength whilst talking anyway)
