The fuse box on the drivers side in cab

I'm assuming that the 30amp is the main fuse for this box and if this fuse doesnt works then nothing else in this box will.EG radio wipers ect
The fuse itself looks ok and I used a test light to see if there is any power coming into the 30amp fuse and there is none.
I need to know what feeds the fuse box under the dash.

Someone on another site said that there are 2 fuses BEHIND the inside fuse box!!!! I will pull it out and have a look.

Ok so pulled internal fuse box out from under dash. There are 3 relay's behind it. I can't test them as I don't have a multi meter. I guess I'll be calling a mechanic

Multi meters are dirt cheap for a basic one, pretty handy unit to have as well, probably worth investing in one!

Have you checked the fuse box under the bonnet? (Passenger side next to main battery).

All of the main fuses you are looking for are in there as all power goes via under the bonnet before the fuses under the drivers wheel!

Electric windows are of no concern as they need re-setting anyway due to a power shut down and winch might of worked if wired to auxiliary battery.

Don't make things harder than they are, don't bush range, pick one fault and look at that.

The following is with regards to the later 120 D4D, looking at the starter issue:

The starter circuit is feed via three fuses, power travels via the 140A ALT fuse
to 50AM1, it then goes to the ignition switch start contact to 7.5A STA fuse, then via
the neutural/park switch if an auto to the starter relay (STA), if you hear the starter relay click then the fault is in the relay contacts or next part of the circuit if not in the one just described.

If the relay clicks, power is feed via 30A AM2 fuse to the starter switch, via the operated
relay contact to the starter solenoid, simply.

First off have a good look at 140A ALT fuse, I would be highly suspicious of that then AM1, if no click and it is an auto and has been wet try neutral/park switch, I haven't checked but from memory I think it is on the transmission, maybe someone else can help with the location?

Diesel Manual. I have checked all the fuses under the bonnet. ALL look good. I cant test relays as dont have a multi-meter. I spoke to a couple of Auto Electrician this morning. 2 of them mentioned the "fusible link" Anyone know where they are and can they be changed like a fuse?????

I'm a tad confused, you wrote you checked all the fuses under the bonnet when I nominated the ALT fuse then you write where are the fusible links and how do I check them? Not trying to be niggley but it is hard to help you if you aren't checking what's suggested?

Did you or did you not check the 140A "ALT" fuse and the 50A "AM1", they are fusible links, ie square plastic units in the fuse box.

OK So as I did said already I checked all Fuses under the bonnet. I was unaware that the 140A "Fusible Link" is actually called a "Fusible Link" I was calling that a "Fuse" my mistake.
I was under the impression that this was a fusible link

If the "ALT" link is blown it would explain all your symptoms, are you sure it
                      is ok?

If it is blown then the alternator would have to be suspect too?

I'm at work at the moment I will have another look. It "looked" ok. Can I test it by pulling it out and putting one blade on the + battery and a test light on the other blade. Test light should light up.

Yes, pull it out put one end of test lamp on a battery terminal, one end of fuse on the
other terminal then lamp on the other, it may have a hairline crack and not be obvious
that it is blown, alternatively where the others look silver it may be black.

It's the big brown box with the transparent lid.

The alternator is no more than 2 months old. The clutch pulley died on the OE one put a 130amp jaylec in

You took it through water, you had the charge light come on the it went out,
the alternator is low down, sounds like the alternator got wet, what was the water,
                              salt, fresh?

Either way depending on the quality of the goods it is possible water has found its way into
the regulator or alternator rectifier diodes, shouldn't happen but it does. 140A fusible
links if blown don't blow for no reason, most likely cause would be a short on the alternator
output cable or a rectifier, failure. If link is blown you'll need to locate the cause before
                              replacing it.

OK so 140A fuse looked ok from top but was melted at bottom (had to remove fuse box from car to get it out Alternatore was also stuffed. (trying to get it under warranty)
                                Well done LeighW
I thought everything was OK till this morning 4am went to go to work, no headlights, no spotties. High beam worked so drove to work with high beam on. I noticed half way to work one of the high beams had dropped out as well. I will have to check the bulbs in the light of day but it seams strange spotties don't work.
