  • Headlamps warning lamp?

Should I have a green warning light come on when my lights are on next to the main beam warning light on the dash?
If so does anybody know what bulb it takes please? Thanx

G'day Mate, I think you might find its to tell you the fog lights are on.

Scruffy. I don't have fog lights but a while back the green light came on whenever my headlights are on, Has been like that for a while now and to be honest i haven't been bothered trying to fix it, Lights work as there meant too.

I think crap in one the fogs light plugs up front is the cause of it.

You may just have the fog light knob switched to 'on'. The fog light switch is on the headlight/indicator stalk. If you don't have fog lights installed it's probably a good way to notify you that your headlights are on, if you like that kind of thing.

There is no light to indicate headlights are on, only fog lights, so sounds like you have nothing to fix.

Mine (2003 Grande) has a light that comes on as soon as the parkers are on. It looks like this

It is located directly to the right of the '5' in the tacho.

Although I have foglights as standard, there isn't a foglight indicator in the instrument cluster.

Interesting, neither my 05 or my current 09 had that light, might be a Grande thing maybe?

However both have had a fog light indicator, centre top of the instrument cluster to the left of the High Beam light, as you can see in the picture here http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post259510

I've had a closer look and I can see the fog lights symbol etched into the instrument cluster in the same spot as your photo. What I also noticed is a mirror image of the fog light symbol to the right of high beam. This one should be for the rear foglight.

I wonder if my front foglight indication bulb is missing or blown...

The green fog light indicator wasn't used prior to circa July 2004, even if the car had fog lights and even though the etching is in place. I don't know if it was the case that simply the bulb/LED wasn't included or if it was the entire cabling/wiring that was missing.
