Re: Redarc BCDC-1220 20amp DC-DC 3 Stage Battery Charger Install
Hi Guys,
Thanks for your posts describing your install Rod01 and OldGreyGuy.
Later this week I'll check out the caravaning/camping/4WD show in Brisvegas; hopefully I can get a good deal on one of these units. It'd be nice to save a few dollars, given the best price I've found is $450. (Please, let me know if you've found a source that beats that).
In the picture below, is this the socket you're talking about (driver's side, front of radiator on D4D)?
Did you keep the socket or snip it off and just use the positive wire, leaving the other disconnected?
Any comments on this plan?[list=1][*]6 mm2 between +ve terminals of batteries (via BCDC-1220 red-wire is input, brown is output).[/*:m:3j0tb8fr][*]6 mm2 between -ve terminals of batteries (direct connect)[/*:m:3j0tb8fr][*]6 B&S from +ve aux, to rear of vehicle (powers fridge in 2nd-row seat position and a 50-A anderson-plug at tow-bar position)[/*:m:3j0tb8fr][*]Earth Chassis (front & rear to help equalise earth points)
