An airbag under the seat, now there's an idea!

Can anyone show how they have mounted their winch isolator.

Am about to install my ORU 12,000 winch and it comes with an isolator and since I like to to try and keep things very neat and tidy and always looking for ideas on how others have done it.

I don't see any need for an isolator, it is just one more set on terminals and contacts to possibly fail. Use an Albright contactor to control the winch. Locate the contactor and controls under the bonnet and as close as possible to the battery. Having it under the bonnet keeps it away from vandals and having it as close as possible to the battery minimises the length of unprotected cable. You should be able to mount a contactor just as close to the battery as an isolator so the isolator provides no greater protection.
