I think I'am happy with this.
WOW. Thats is basically unheard of!! Well done

I just had my injectors and injection pump replaced due to high consumption and i'm still seeing 17.5ltrs/100klms. Do you think i'm impressed after spending over $4g's?

Me thinks that there's some over-ambitious fuel consumption calculations going on with that one. With 275/75s on the speedo will be way out.

My consumption is terrible. We do a lot of off road but still I think we should get more than 6k/litre. It was good before I had the timing and a few other things done. Then had the injectors done but still crap mileage. Any ideas? Not going back to that mechanic either.

Actually, that's what a brand new 150 gets (highway) - 10 years younger than yours. Once again, I think your calculations are out.

            Reindeer4x4 is quoting km/liter (9 km/liter = 11.11 liter/100 km)

my 04 1kz gets about 14-15L/100. It was about 12 2 years ago when it was bog stock but the mod's have made it worsen a little. It is a manual too which seem to be a bit better then the auto's.

We used to get between 1200-1400 off a tank depending on how much off road. Now it's only 1000k. Something's wrong 😞

I'am not saying that I use between 8.5 and 9.3 late per 100k's but that I do between 8.5 and 9.3 k's per litre that is a different.
I have a motor pass so easy to see....

My bad, sorry Reindeer, that's still pretty good for around town.

No worries, it's normal because we always calculate ltr per 100k's but this way it was easier for me. But I think everybody can reduce their fuel consumption by not be reving to much ( not above 2500) little bit more air in your tyres and look far enough ahead in traffic. And use cruise control when possible.

tyre pressures and tyre selection play a big part with fuel economy.
When driving on the black stuff keep your pressures right up.
I notice before someone had gone to the Bighorns.. We have a few customers with them and they all report fuel economy issues. Great offroad but noisy and thirsty on road.
Some of the new top end All Terrains are seeing good fuel economy improvements so once you tick off all the other mechanical possibilities maybe try a new tyre at good pressure on the road. The Yokie ATS seems to be getting the best fuel economy gains but so do some of the others.

Although I've now got muddies on, I was running the same 38 psi as always on the old at tyres I had been since I put em on. The only thing that changed was getting work done by a mechanic. Major service, timing, glow plugs and he cleaned out the throttle body and intercooler. Economy was crap so I sent it back in and he then said the injectors were shot so reconned them. Economy is still crap three tanks later. Need to take it elsewhere
